1.Service
Verdict (a Lucid AI Labs product, operated by Fabian Ilg) produces written due diligence research reports on a company you specify, delivered as a PDF. Each report follows a fixed ten-section structure and states a verdict, ranked risks, and sourced or labelled claims.
2.Opinion and information only, not advice
Reports are independent research and the author's opinion, provided for informational purposes only. They are NOT investment, financial, legal, accounting, or tax advice, and are not a recommendation, offer, or solicitation to buy, sell, or hold any security or to enter any transaction. No adviser-client, fiduciary, or agency relationship is created. You remain solely responsible for your own decisions and should obtain independent professional advice.
3.Sources and accuracy
Reports are built from publicly available information and reasoned inference, which is labelled as such. We take care to source material claims, but we do not warrant that any report is complete, error-free, or current, and information about private companies is inherently incomplete. Findings reflect the state of available information at the time of writing.
4.No guarantee of outcomes
Nothing in any report is a prediction or guarantee of any company's performance, valuation, or future events, or of any outcome from a decision you make using the report.
5.Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from or in connection with a report or these terms is limited to the fee you paid for that report. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or lost-profit damages. Nothing in these terms limits liability for intent or gross negligence, for injury to life, body, or health, or any liability that cannot be excluded under mandatory law.
6.Intellectual property
You receive a non-exclusive licence to use the delivered report for your own internal decision making. You may share the report within your organisation and with the client, co-investors, or deal team the engagement was run for. Reselling the report as a standalone product, or distributing it publicly, still requires written permission. We retain all intellectual property in our methods, templates, and the report. You may not resell or publicly redistribute the report without written permission.
7.Consumers, right of withdrawal (digital content)
If you are a consumer in the EU, you normally have a 14-day right to withdraw. Because a report is digital content produced and delivered individually, you expressly agree that we begin preparing and delivering it before the withdrawal period ends, and you acknowledge that your right of withdrawal lapses once we have begun delivery with your consent. We confirm this consent at checkout.
8.Satisfaction guarantee (voluntary)
In addition to any statutory rights, we offer a voluntary satisfaction guarantee. If, within 7 days of delivery, you tell us a report is not something you can reasonably act on, we refund the fee you paid for it in full. We also refund the fee if a report omits a material red flag that was publicly knowable at the time of writing. This guarantee is limited to a refund of the fee paid, does not extend our liability beyond clause 5 (Limitation of liability), and is additional to and does not limit your mandatory consumer rights.
9.Business customers
Where you purchase in a business or professional capacity, statutory consumer protection provisions do not apply, and these terms govern in full.
10.Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence remain unaffected.
